Since listening to Boston, Scorpions and AC/DC in Grade School, Chris always wanted to play electric guitar. Finally, his Junior year (1984) he started twanging an old "garage sale special" plugged into his stereo. He went right for the flash and began soloing early on. Chris never took any lessons, and a year or so passed before he even discovered chords. High school and college basement bands followed and he began playing in bars at the age of 19 with "Sudden Impact." The all original band "Rebellion" and other cover/original groups "Censor" and "U-Turn" had Chris traveling and playing clubs and bars all over the state of Oregon.      Chris was born in Corvallis, Oregon and was raised in the rural community South of town known as Irish Bend. He graduated from CHS in 1985 and began studying at Linn-Benton Community College. With a Manufacturing Technology degree, Chris enjoyed a 9 year career as a Mold/Model/Tool Maker and in 1993 became employed by Hewlett-Packard in Corvallis. He has since become an Information Technology Solutions Specialist and works specifically with 3D Computer Aided Design Software and other Computer Aided Engineering tools.
Chris is a pilot and enjoys flying OSU Flying Club aircraft, as well as authoring webpages for the club, himself and Kickstart. He loves tinkering with computers, hot rodding his '70 Camaro and is currently working on improvement projects to his North Albany home. Chris likes electronics and enjoys experimenting with his guitar equipment almost as much as playing through it! He also likes to be a "homebody" and spend time with his girlfriend Shelley, his dog Mattias, and cats Carly, Oscar and Mrs. Jones. Chris avoids television and, other than "The X-Files" or a televised NHRA Drag Racing event, would rather be working on webpages, tinkering in the garage, or just playing guitar.
Classic rock and guitar instrumentals are usually loaded up in Chris's CD player. Current favorites are Steve Morse and The Dregs while perennial favorites include Michael Schenker, Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, and UFO.
