Congratulations to Todd Miller and Steve Cox our Oldies But Goodies Winners! Don't forget to sign up for the Hot Rod Nationals at least a week before the event.
The race results and points now include the Oldies.
A letter from Mike:
I would like to apologize for the two singles in the first round of the Oldies race. I apologize to the two alternates that didn't get to race, to the two racers in the B-bracket that didn't get bumped into the A-field, the Pro Nostalgia fans that didn't get to see quality side by side racing and to the Woodburn Dragstrip staff.
After qualifying Saturday night, Cathy and I went to everyone's pit and checked for breakage and were told everyone was good to go. Sunday at 11:30, Dale came by and told us to head to the lanes. He then said "what about the two broken cars?". The drivers that realized they were broken Sunday morning, didn't come and tell me, so it was simply too late to re-do the ladders and get everyone paired up with each other.
I would like to remind everyone, it is imperitive that I know if you are broke, or if you WERE broke and fixed your car...I NEED TO KNOW ASAP, so we can fix the ladder. When I am running my own car, I can't keep up with what everyone else is doing.
In closing, I would like to welcome Gary Eickmann back to Pro Nostalgia. Congrats also to Todd Miller for being the first small block in Pro Nostalgia to run in the 6's and making it to the finals of the first two races (too bad he was intimidated by the competition in the other lane into red-lighting in the first race!).
